 Working in Care – Induction Standards
This course is suitable for new starters in a non-management position in a social care organization such as a day care centre, sheltered housing, a children's home or domiciliary care in a person's own home. The course requires little knowledge of working with computers and is also suitable if English is your second language.
This course provides you with a comprehensive training framework to ensure you meet the induction standards laid down by the Training Organisation for the Personal Social Services England (TOPSS England). The course explores the values that lie at the heart of all care work and the realities of working in care. You will gain an understanding of our specific role and responsibilities, and why it is essential that you apply the policies and procedures to your organisation. You are also shown how to apply safe working practices to promote a safe, healthy environment for themselves and those you care for.
